Global African AgriBusiness Accelerator Platform, Kenya

GAAAP is a three year project that aims at strengthening entrepreneurial capacity of 10-15 young agri-preneurs aged between 21 to 40 years with a target of 20% business growth every year. This is through knowledge and success model sharing; facilitating mutually beneficial trade and investment linkages with financiers, markets, human capital developers and technology; offering opportunities for networking with like-minded youth agri-preneurs and relevant experts and; show casing of youth agribusiness initiatives to attract investment as well as trigger similar undertakings. This would in turn accelerate economic impact of agriculture and agribusinesses that they run. This would be realized through workshops on technology and mechanization, finance and resource mobilization and partnership development among others; learning tours in the region and globally and; mentorship from Mercy Corp volunteers.
